The Chicago Urban Devils Golf Enthusiasts' League (CUDGEL) is a group of misguided Chicago youths interested in hitting balls with clubs.
Where Can I Get A Club?
Well, first let's emphasize that we here at CVDGEL interpret the term 'golf club' somewhat loosely. (see, eg, BYOWD below)
That said, there's something particularly satisfying about using a nice 3-iron to really get under the ball. Plus, a metal club on asphalt is more durable than something wooden or plastic, and it can make a real nice spray of sparks if used properly.
Many potential CVDGEL paricipants, however, do not own golf clubs, so we're starting a list here of thrift stores in town known to have had them:

The Brown Elephant on Halsted. Up in Boystown, this place has $1 clubs and a fine selection of caddy bags to boot.
- This Wicker Park/Bucktown Salvation Army is said to have clubs, and probably more good golfing gear. (thanks to team Par Pirates for the recommendation)

Do you need to bring your own golf club?
Yes.
Is there a chance we will have some extras for you in case you are a total spare and fail to bring your own?
Perhaps.
Is our definition of "golf club" deliberatly loose and poorly rendered?
Absolutely.
Will we make you buy us a beer to make up for trying to use a shovel or your housmate as a golf club?
It might take 2 beers, actually. Gin is good too.
